Meliga pastries are crumbly corn cookies, typical of Piedmont. Meliga in dialect actually means cornmeal.
Cornmeal is the main ingredient, to which is added 00 flour, butter and eggs that give this delicious shortbread its characteristic golden color.
Refined and perfect for serving at tea time, paired with a great eggnog, as a snack or simply to start the day off right.
