About Us — Valerio Volpe Pasticceria
The Founder
From photography to artisan pastry
A story of family roots, passion for raw ingredients and deep respect for Piedmontese tradition.
Our Story
Valerio Volpe: the family bakery, photography, the return
Valerio Volpe grew up in his parents' bakery and pastry shop in the Monferrato. The aroma of freshly baked bread, the warmth of the oven, hands covered in flour — these are the memories that shaped his sensitivity to food as a language.
Before returning to artisan confectionery, Valerio studied photography and worked in the audiovisual industry. That experience gave him something precious: the ability to look closely, to search for the right light, to find beauty in the details.
When he decided to take up the family recipes again, he did so with the eyes of a visual storyteller: every biscuit is a story, every package a frame. "I understood the importance of food as a language and cultural medium of a land and its people" — and from that awareness, Volpe Pasticceria as we know it today was born.
Since 1988, in Acqui Terme, in the Alto Monferrato. With the same artisan care and a vision always turned to the future.
Our Values
The Philosophy Behind Every Creation
Tradition
Every sweet tells a story. Family recipes handed down through generations, Piedmontese artisan techniques, deep respect for local roots. Tradition is not a limit — it is our strength.
Passion
Passion is what constantly drives us to review and improve our products, with the utmost attention to every stage of the process. Doing things well is not enough — you have to do them with love.
Modernity
We combine artisan craftsmanship with modern production technology to preserve authenticity and quality at scale. Looking to the future with the firm grounding of history.
Raw Ingredients
Quality Begins with the Ingredient
We make no compromises on raw ingredients. Every ingredient is chosen for its certified quality, its traceable origin, and its power to turn a recipe into an experience.
Piedmont Hazelnut PGI
Langhe, Roero and Monferrato
The queen of Italian hazelnuts, Tonda Gentile delle Langhe, grown on the UNESCO World Heritage hills of Piedmont. Sweet, buttery, with an unmistakable aroma.
Sicilian Almonds
Noto and Avola, Sicily
Almonds from Avola and Noto, among the finest in the world. An intense Mediterranean aroma and a sweet, oily paste that turns every amaretto into a unique sensory experience.
Butter from the Piedmont Alps
Piedmont Alps, Italy
Butter from cows raised in the Piedmont Alps, a 100% certified Italian supply chain. Creamy and persistent, it gives our biscuits that aristocratic crumbliness impossible to replicate.
Italian Grain Flours
Italy
Selected flours from Italian grains, milled at low temperature to preserve their organoleptic properties. The foundation of every creation, treated with the respect it deserves.
High-Quality Chocolate
Belgium and Italy
Premium Belgian and Italian dark chocolate, chosen for its aromatic complexity. Its 70% cocoa delivers an intensity that perfectly balances the sweetness of the hazelnuts.
Looking to the future with a firm grounding in history and tradition, bringing the authentic flavours of the Monferrato back to the surface.
